Welcome to the Old Dog Family

We’re delighted to have you join the  journey from seed to table!

We are a small, passionate farm dedicated to growing local fruits and veggies for our community, AND growing a community that is fired up about local fruits and veggies.

After 6 years without it…

Fresh produce has made a comeback at the Alpine Farmers Market.

This is thanks to five small producers joining forces and sharing the harvest:

  • Ally at A Positive Altitude Homestead (Alpine, WY)

  • Todd at Greys River Farm (Alpine, WY)

  • Curtis at Haderlie Farms (Thayne, WY)

  • Pauline at the Zeren family garden (Etna, WY)

  • Myself at Old Dog Farm (Etna, WY)

It’s been a grind to get here (I may or may not have wanted to quit a time or two), but your smiles and gratitude at last week’s market made the long hot days, sore muscles, and skipped sleep feel worth it. (Although I wouldn’t recommend that last part.)

How We Grow

What began as a family garden has grown into a community-focused farm:

  • No till

  • Chemical-free produce

  • Pasture-raised eggs, chicken, goats, and sheep

  • Regenerative practices to build the good stuff, not just avoid the bad stuff

  • Multigenerational family (grandfather to granddaughter out there together making it happen!)

We’ll dive deeper into each of these - the successes and (many) failures - in upcoming posts.
